Porte de Mafate

Mountain and trekking hostel | The Porte de Mafate lodge is located in the village of Grand Îlet, in the heart of the Salazie cirque, on the route of numerous trails and close to the GRR1.

Important information: for safety and facility configuration reasons, the establishment welcomes children from the age of 10.

Just 20 minutes from Col des Bœufs and Sentier Scout, the lodge is an ideal starting point for many iconic hikes: Piton d'Anchaing, La Fenêtre, Roche Écrite, and Hell-Bourg via the GRR.

The lodge offers comfortable rooms, all equipped with private toilets and bathrooms.

The double rooms and the Bé Massoune room are located upstairs.

The Roche Écrite family room, located on the ground floor, consists of three separate bedrooms, offering optimal comfort for families or small groups.

Breakfast is self-service, to be taken at your own pace (within the departure time limit), with products available on site.

Dinner is not offered directly at the lodge. If you book the dinner option, the hosts will take care of reserving meals at restaurants located in the immediate vicinity of the lodge (approximately 100 meters away).
