Fruity aperitif in Ilet Bethléem
Les Aventuriers de l’Est will take you on an exploration of this historic place, Ilet Bethléem, in the lush-green surroundings of the Rivière des Marsouins and in the midst of lychee orchards. This ancient charitable organisation of the Sisters of Mary is now a popular place for walks, picnics and swimming. Visitors can expect a superb experience in the tropical environment of the east coast, to learn about the farming heritage of the past and present, the traditional picnic spots of Reunion and the history of a forgotten village. Activity schedule: • 9:30am: Meet at the Îlet Bethléem/Saint-Benoît car park. • Geoffrey or another guide from Les Aventuriers de l'Est will be there to greet participants. • Set off for a 2.5 / 3 hour walk along the Rivière des Marsouins • Discover the exotic fruit, exotic flowers and medicinal plants along the way. • At the end of the walk, participants will be treated to a 'fruity aperitif’ and local products. A Creole picnic can also be organised on the banks of the river for groups of 10 people minimum (an extra fee applies). PROGRAMME: From Monday to Saturday Booking is compulsory at least 48 hours prior. ACTIVITY DURATION: Approximately 3 hours PRICES: Prices from: Adult: €30/person Children between the ages of 4 and 17: €15 Free for children under the age of 4 15 people per outing maximum. Included: guided tour, ‘fruity aperitif’, fruit tasting, with local products and drinks. Make sure you bring: Hiking boots, a hat or cap, a bottle of water, a raincoat (just in case), mosquito repellent, sun cream and we recommend you wear long and lightweight clothing.
