The Gîte du Pavillon is situated midway between the town of Saint-Louis and the village of Cilaos, at 400 m above sea-level. It is located at the 19th kilometre of the winding ""road with the 400 bends"" at the locality of Pavillon.
The Gîte du Pavillon consists of three 2-bedroomed dormitories, one 3-bedroomed dormitory, one 4-bedroomed dormitory and one double bedroom. Towels are not included. Private, unfenced car park. The gite's restaurant, capable of seating 40 people, serves traditional Creole cuisine. Specialities: smoked pork with banana flower and shellfish. For security reasons it is impossible to reheat meals or to do the cooking oneself. The kitchen is not at customers’ disposal.

”Réservation en toute connaissance de la proximité de la route et du pont assez bruyant la nuit ! Effectivement avant 22h et après 6h du matin, les véhicules se font entendre.. mais les hébergements pour randonneurs au long cours en bas du cirque de Cilaos sont rares et l'accueil a été très sympathique, la cuisine tr...”
