The gite Basse Vallée is situated in Saint-Philippe, in a peaceful part of the island's ""Sud Sauvage"" (Wild South) region. The gite has 3 dormitories: one for 8 people and two for 4 people. The gite offers sanitary facilities. Available hot water and electricity depend on the solar energy. As the electrical energy is solar , it is limited. It is also impossible to recharge your camera, handy, video camera etc… Please make arrangements for this. The gite's restaurant serves traditional Creole cuisine upon reservation.For security reasons it is impossible to reheat meals or to do the cooking oneself. The kitchen is not at customers’ disposal.
This gite belongs to the Mountain Gite Managers Association (AGGM). Pets not allowed.

”Quel dommage que ce gîte soit laissé pour compte! Le cadre est magnifique, l'accueil est de qualité mais le gîte est dans un état de délabrement qui fait pitié! J'avoue même que cela fait un peu peur de passer la nuit seuls dans ce lieu qui n'est fréquenté que par les rats! Oui, on les entend courir sur les plafonds...”

”L’absence de gestionnaire permanent nuit fortement à la qualité du service (horaires, disponibilités etc) et la vétusté du batiment à la prestation de service (cuisine, salle commune pour repas etc). Le site est parfait, une rénovation s’impose.”
