Every Sunday, head to the Le Chaudron street market to stock up on fresh produce, before
taking part in a cooking workshop at the wood fire in St.Suzanne. A day of celebration and gastronomy…
1st stage: Le Chaudron Street market.
From 8am onwards, meander through the Le Chaudron street market with Jacky, unearthing the best vegetables,
spices, meat and fish. You will enjoy chatting with the stallholders in the legendary market in the county seat.
2nd stage: Creole cookery workshop.
Everybody uses their own vehicle to go to St.Suzanne (20 minute journey), in the Bagatelle district.
Once there, everybody participates in making lunch, from folding samosas to cornflour cake, as well as the traditional tomato rougail and curry over the wood fire.
3rd stage: Creole lunch.
A starter of chili bonbons, samosas and fresh fruit juices.
Two courses: Meat and fish, served with rice.
All the materials are provided. The first person to enroll chooses the workshop menu! (once you have enrolled,
you will receive a call from Jacky to decide on the two main dishes together).
Jacky also offers this wood fire cookery workshop every TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY,
meeting in St.Suzanne (on those days, there is no visit to the Le Chaudron market). To reserve for those days, go to the page: “Creole cookery: Far Far Kréol".
Free for children up to the age of 18, accompanied by their parents. The workshop is guaranteed when the first person registers.
Capacity: 20 people.
