This guided walk through the streets of Cilaos is organised by the Southern Reunion Island Tourist Office.

Accompanied by your "dalon" or friend for the day, you will discover the main monuments, sites and must see places, which make the village so interesting.

Schedule:

- Meet at the Cilaos Tourist Office.
Recap of the historical background on the wall map. History of the sedan chair in the exhibition room.

- Set off for the guided tour. First stop at the House of Embroidery. Here you will discover a bit more about the birth of the famous "Jours de Cilaos” embroidery.

- Visit the "Zafer Lontan” museum, with a guide and learn all bout life in days gone by and the customs of the inhabitants of Cilaos.

- The town hall, its square and "Bearer of life” monument.

- The Archipel des Métiers d'Art: here you will meet the main artisans in the cirque.

- Return to the Tourist Office. End of the tour.

- Duration of the tour: 2 hours.
