Rucksacks at the ready! Pic Adam is one of the Dionysian hikes you must do with its breathtaking view over the entire north coast of the island.
The day starts with fried rice and local pastries to get your energy levels up. After crossing the fields of sugar cane and pineapple it's one long climb up to the magnificent viewpoint over the Beautiful Country. Then you will take a circular route around Pic Adam passing through the forest full of “bois de couleur”, guava and eucalyptus trees. Finally you will cross a few ravines and even climb one or two ladders before the gentle descent back down to the car park. Allow for 3.5 to 4 hours of walking, at your own pace.
Everyone gets back in their car to go to the Creole restaurant “La Case de l’Oncle Tom”, nestled under the trees in Trinity Park, where you will have lunch with your guide. Menu: 1 soft drink and a cari (vegetable cari or yellow chicken cari).
Our tip: If your spouse or your children do not want to do the hike, they could still join you at the restaurant which is just next to the water slides!
