Coconut Palm Weaving
Introduction to coconut palm weaving, every Saturday afternoon for 90 minutes at Maison Carrère. Everyone leaves with whatever they make!
Learn the basics of coconut palm weaving, with instruction from Nourdine. Weaving is an art in itself: the art of manipulating a flexible organic material such as coconut palms.
Depending on the theme of the workshop, you will leave with your decorative woven object: a star, a cube, a rose or a bird. They are all easy to take home or slip in your suitcase.
The workshop has a maximum capacity of 8 people to ensure that participants all get the best tuition possible. Children 6 years and older are welcome. The workshop takes place in the open air from 2pm to 3.30pm.
If you are not available on Saturdays, or you would like to create larger objects (waste paper bins, hat, mats etc.), Nourdine is available to organise tailor-made workshops to suit your requirements.
